I have a bachelor's degree in early childhood education. After graduating I was a substitute teacher for 2 months before being hired at a school district to work with special education in grades 2-6 for 4 years. I recently went back to school, and graduated with a masters in speech-language pathology. Through my clinical placements, I have worked with all ages across the lifespan, in the areas of articulation, language, pragmatics, AAC, neurological disorders, voice disorders, and hearing impairments. I am currently working at my dream job as an educational SLP with grades K-6.
I aim to use evidence-based practice to help students meet their speech and language goals and ultimately become functional, confident communicators. Also, if I haven't made my student smile during a speech session, then I'm doing something wrong!
Yet to be added
I graduated with my masters in speech-language pathology in August of 2014 after receiving a bachelors in early childhood education in 2007.
