TEACHING EXPERIENCE

For the past 14 years I have taught kindergarten in Kirtland, NM. I have the best job in the world. My students, parents and colleagues inspire me to be better every single day. I am grateful for TeachersPayTeachers and the wide variety of materials it has exposed me too. Since discovering this site I have changed my teaching practice dramatically. I am glad to learn from so many wonderful teachers as I go through this journey.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I enjoy working with children in small groups. I present multiple centers for the week and we rotate through them so all children have an opportunity to try things at least once.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I have been married 25 years to the love of my life, DeRon. We have 2 children in college. The oldest will graduate in December, the younger one will play football for 3 more seasons for his college before he graduates. I live in Redmesa, Colorado and drive to Kirtland, New Mexico each morning to teach. It takes about 40 minutes, but this gives me time to think through my day and how I wish for it to run. After work it also give me time to evaluate how things went.
