I have been in education for 27 years. I have been the chair of the English and history departments. Through the years, I was dean of academics and discipline, and finally vice principal. During the last 7 years, I have returned to full time teaching.
The use of the computer and Smart Broad has been a major change in my style of teaching. I created a weekend email tutorial for those students who want it(of course with the parents' permission). I use Edline constantly as a tool for repetition and review. I know h9ow to get students to remember the basics while addressing more complicated material.
I have several. but my most cherished is an award from a college honoring teachers who have been an influence on female students. I was nominated by a former student who once was convinced that I "hated" her because I was so demanding.

I am now retired and help former students with their college work, and also with their children's school work.
