MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe in a holistic teaching philosophy. Student need to grow physically, mentally, and emotionally in our classrooms. I believe lesson should be hands-on, multi-sensory, and target all types of learning styles. I am an advocate of whole-brain teaching. Every individual that sets foot in our classrooms is uniquely made by God. We need to find their strengths then push them to develop those strengths. We need to help them understand their weaknesses then push them to strengthen those areas. Every student is capable of learning, being self-aware, and becoming a successful member of society!

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I went to public school in rural New England until 6th grade. I moved to North Carolina where I went to public school in Cary. Then in 8th grade we moved to attend a private Christian school in Lynchburg, VA. I have a Bachelors in Special Education and Elementary Education from Liberty University. I am endorsed in Middle School Math and hold an VA Autism Certificate.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I am incredibly passionate about students with exceptionalities and special needs. My goal is to create resources for general education and special education teachers. I want my resources to save teachers time and give them more energy to pour into their students lives. Many of my resources target students with exceptionalities who need extra supports and interventions. I want to provide teachers with extra resources to help these students be successful.
