TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching in an outstanding state school for four years. During that time I have not only generated my own resources based on my ideas, but learnt a great deal from outstanding teachers.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Interactive, energetic and structured. Lots of self and peer assessment to minimise marking in order to focus time on effective formative feedback.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

QTS PGCE, University of Warwick BSc, Computer Science Excellent A-level and GCSE results

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

My style of teaching is to make my powerpoint slides like my lesson plans. All my resources, explanations, activities, answers, plenaries are included within my lesson slides. I find that this works for me, as my lesson is all in one place so that my lesson flows. Additionally, my resources try to minimize the need to print off many worksheets, as it saves money and time, also I believe there is significant value in training students to identify key information, make their own effective notes, and structure their working out clearly.
