This is a game I created that is much like the "Guess Who" game. I was unhappy with how it has more males than females. I have a total of 12 different faces with differences in: happy versus sad, girl versus boy, black hair, blonde hair, brown hair.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I currently work in an outpatient pediatric setting and provide speech-language therapy to children in the age range of 2-14 years old. I continue to work on a PRN basis in acute and inpatient rehab at the local hospital. Previously, I have worked in a Skilled Nursing Facility, as a contract SLP in the school system with High School age children, and private practice with a variety of ages.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My therapy style is a mix between traditional and non-traditional. I enjoy finding a student's interests and individualizing my treatment sessions around them. When necessary, I will utilize drill work to reinforce strategies, especially with articulation, however I work to keep the student interested and engaged. My main goal with all students is to teach them to be as independent as they can, think through and solve problems on their own, and to communicate their thoughts/feelings/needs to others.
