ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

As you know too well, fractions are the gate keeper to any advanced math. Many of the students still have trouble in these classes with fractions. The best way to remedy this is we play Core-Cards for a few minutes every day. It is non-threatening and fun; kids come to like them and become good with them. Additionally, I am on our local K-8 school board and work in the math classrooms often, I have given workshops with Core-Cards to grades 3-8 teachers and they use them for instruction, reinforcement of ideas, and a way to create challenging problems that meet the Common Core standards. All with a high level of success.
