TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I taught high school Social Studies courses for five years before becoming my district's Social Studies Digital Curriculum Developer for grades 5-12. In addition to developing digital curriculum I also have designed professional development for teachers grades 5-12.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I try to bring as many real-world connections to the table as possible, whether I am teaching students or staff. I find value in having a continuing conversation with those I am teaching.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I and the other content developers in my district were recently recognized by our school board for our efforts in implementing our 1:1 digital program in grades 5-12.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I earned a BS in Social Studies/Secondary Education in 2005 and a MS in Curriculum and Instruction in 2009. I have been trained to teach AP European History and I am Adobe certified for Captivate 5.
