TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I received my bachelor's degree in English from Sacred Heart University in 2007 and went on to earn my M.A.T. from Monmouth University in 2009. Two months after completing my student teaching assignment I was hired as a long term substitute. This position turned into a permanent position, which I am happy and proud to say I am still in today. I have experience teaching high school: English I, English II, and English IV, AP Literature, as well as yearbook, which I have been the adviser of since 2012.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching philosophy is rooted in the combination of students' proactive involvement in the classroom, integration of multiple technologies, and identifying and emphasizing connections between literature and students' lives. I set high expectations for my students, but I firmly believe they can succeed and I am dedicated to guiding them on their way.
