TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught from birth to college in both general education and special education. My passion is early childhood. I have worked as a special education teacher, general education teacher, teacher consultant, administrator, behavioral specialist, and instructional coach. Currently, I am privileged to work as an early learning instructional coach and as an independent consultant.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Play, play, play- incorporating standards into play and investigations. Embedding learning by using the interests of the children and providing lots of hands-on opportunities for application of skills. Providing lots of modeling and practicing. Model and practice each skill in chunks at a developmentally appropriate rate so that the learning will stick!
