I am a younger teacher heading into her 3rd year in 3rd grade! I work in a public, urban school with a large ELL population. I teach in a special education inclusion classroom, with a special education population of almost 50% for the last two years in my classroom. Previous to this, I was a long term sub in 3rd, and student taught in 4th.
I workshop everything! I like students to be able to explore new material, work together, and really experience new things with genuine excitement. I do like to model everything first; maybe it's a control issue? I love to infuse technology in my classroom, and really grasp student attention this way. I am also slowly becoming addicted to task cards..

I grew up in a small town and graduated high school with most of my class being together since kindergarten. I attended a private college in Maine for a year, before transferring to a public college where I was an undergraduate double major in elementary education and English. I also recently just graduated with my M.Ed in elementary education from the same college.
I am a happily married New England girl who loves to spend my free time reading, catching up with friends, or enjoying family. I love the New England weather, changing seasons, and the beauty. Couldn't imagine living anywhere else. I genuinely love teaching and cannot dream of doing anything else!
