My teaching career has taken me from coast-to-coast, South Carolina to San Diego, in many different classroom environments. I've worked in district, private, and charter schools and have enjoyed teaching grades 3rd through 8th. I'm currently teaching in a multiage setting where I am gifted a two year experience with my eight, nine, and ten-year-old students.
My teaching style is centered on the project-based model where students learn by creating, thinking, problem-solving, and exploring. Constructivism guides my philosophy and I work to create meaningful educational experiences based on the needs and interests of my students.

I grew up in the public schools in South Carolina. After high school I attended College of Charleston and graduated magnum cum laude with degrees in Education, Psychology, and additional concentrations in English language arts and social studies.
I currently live in San Diego, California where I have the privilege of working at an incredible constructivist charter school. I'm married to a hilarious and creative husband who enjoys helping to contribute to my teaching products with his background in graphic design. We also have a princess of a puppy Chloe and are expecting our first baby in the fall.
