Last year, after receiving my Special Education/General Education degree, I taught 6th grade for 6 months. I am currently teaching at a departmentalized elementary school where my focus is 4th grade ELA/Social Studies. Prior to receiving my degree, I worked as a long-term substitute for 3 years at my current elementary school in various positions including 2nd grade, Special Education, and K-6th grade Interventions. All of my experience has provided me with a strong understanding of student needs throughout the elementary grades.
I am a very creative individual who believes that students need to enjoy their learning experiences in order to truly be successful in transferring and applying their knowledge into the real-world. All of my materials are created with an open and artistic mind for the success of students.

I received my Special Education/General Education degree from Western Governors University. I also attended Arizona State University where my focus of study was in art.
I am a proud wife and mother of two children, including a 13-year old son and an 11-year old daughter. Scrapbooking is a passion of mine, as I love creating fun pages of memories that will last for generations to come. In my spare time (not like there is a lot...I'm a teacher), I enjoy playing games and watching movies with my family. :)
