TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught Japanese and ESL for over 20 years in both Japan and Australia. For the last five years I have been at a K to 12 school teaching primary students.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I have made a huge amount of material in the last few years as I felt there was a need for more humorous, silly and fun material to motivate this age group. I always add movements and dance to my songs and know that it is a great way for kids to learn. I also have a predominantly paperless classroom because I believe in our limited specialist lesson times the best use of time is active, engaged use of spoken language. Also, parents appreciate what we do more when children go home using the language.
