I initially started my career teaching French at the high-school level, but for the past three years I have taught middle-school Spanish at a charter school in Calgary, Canada. Spanish is mandatory at my current school, so all 530 students take Spanish. I teach half of these students so I teach four different grade levels (5-8).
I teach with comprehensible input methods like TPRS (Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling) and use various other techniques such as MovieTalk and Embedded Readings in order to provide as much compelling, comprehensible input as possible to my students.
