I recently graduated from the University of Akron with a Bachelor's of Science in Education, with a concentration in the Spanish Language. I am Liscenced in the State of Ohio. I have experience through my education teaching Spanish to children from Kindergarten through 11th grade.
My teaching style is student-centered. I like to let the students decide the pace of the lessons and I always have extra activitites ready to clarify any misunderstandings. You'll find on many of my PowerPoints that I have slides dedicated to in-class practice with partners and plenty of opportunities for students to ask questions along the way.
I graduated with Honors from the University of Akron.
I grew up in a very small town in Ohio, where I got my high school diploma. My education at the University of Akron opened my eyes to the bigger world and helped me understand complexities of education. I earned to certificate in TEFL in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Now I am working on applications for Graduate School and hope to take another trip to South America in 2015 to teach English and improve my linguistic and cultural skills in Spanish.
I live with my dog and my cat in Akron.
