Experience

This is my 10th year in education! I love seeing kids succeed.

Teaching style

I try to create a teaching style that fits the needs of my students. Some students require different strategies to help them be successful - hence the name "embrace-the-chaos". :)

Awards & shining teacher moments

In 2006 I received an award from the Highway Patrol for assisting in an Amber Alert. I was driving to work one day and listening to the radio. The djs announce an amber alert and give a description of the car. I then notice there is a car right in front of me that matches the description...then the djs read off the license plate...it matches! I contacted 911 and followed the car until police officers arrived. The little girl was rescued! I could care less about the actual award I received, I was just happy that the child was no longer in danger.

My own education history

Columbia College 2009 - Bachelors in Business Administration with emphasis in Human Resource Management. Grand Canyon University 2012 - Masters in Elementary Education William Woods University 2024 - Masters in Elementary Administration

Additional biographical information

Before deciding to teach I was Human Resource Manager. I loved my job, but I realized it was just a job to me. I wanted to be apart of something that would be rewarding day in and day out where I could actually help someone. I remembered that I have always wanted to be a teacher and eventually found a program where I could get my masters in elementary education with having a bachelors in elementary education.
