This rubric was used as a final project for a Read Aloud in Middle Years. Students were in groups and chose a character from the novel which they had to make a representation of. This was an open-ended project with the only requirements being that
I use these after each report card term for students to reflect on what they have done well and need to improve on. This has worked great for guiding Student Conferences, where students pick two samples to share as well.
We used this reflection and rubric after students created slam poems. Students presented their slam poems and the class had to respond to two using the handouts included in the package. It is attached to Grade 8 ELA outcomes but can be used across
