TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching since 2002. I have lived through and loved 1st, 3rd, and 5th grades. I am currently loving my life as a 3rd grade teacher.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Honesty, integrity, and respect drive my classroom. You don't have to know everything, but you have to learn. You don't have to be perfect, but you must be honest. You don't have to like everyone, but you have no choice but to respect them.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I have been a hard working, dedicated teacher since 2002. I was a semi-finalist for the district-wide teacher of the year for Atlanta Public Schools .

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I graduated from the University of Georgia in 2001. I began teaching in Atlanta Public Schools in 2002 through Teach for America. I fell in love with the profession and went back to school to earn my first Masters Degree in Educational Technology from AIU. I then returned to graduate school again to earn a Master Degree in Middle Grades Education with a focus on Math and Science from Georgia State University.
