I have taught Pre-K, K, and 1st grade. I began teaching in NJ in a Catholic school and then I moved to VA after I got married and taught K and 1st grade. I am currently on a leave of absence with my first child and I am looking forward to creating things I will use when I get back into the classroom and I hope you can use them too!
Try to just keep up with what is current in teaching. Hopefully my products will show that.
I am currently licensed in PA, NJ, and VA. I think with is quite an honor! =)
Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Scranton. Master's Degree in Education from Seton Hall University. Currently working towards Master's Degree to be a Reading Specialist from George Mason University.
I married my college sweetheart in May 2010. I was currently in NJ and he was in VA. That summer I moved down with him, but was still teaching in NJ in the following fall. I worked my butt off to find a job so I could be with him. By October 2010, I was offered a K job in VA. By far, my favorite grade to teach so far is Pre-K, however, I do have experience in K, 1st, and 2nd. I have liked all of them for their own reasons. I now am currently on a leave of absence with my first baby who was born in May 2012. While I am out of the classroom for a little bit, I will be creating materials that are tied to current standards that I will look forward to using with my own children as well as using when I get back into the classroom. It will force me to stay up to date with current standards.
