Students will collect data on a question of their choice. Then use that data to find the mean, median, mode, and range. They will then create a variety of graphs (histogram, box & whisker plot, and circle graph) to show their findings.
This is a great ice breaker activity for students in your class to get to know each other and for you to get to know your students. There is a completed scavenger hunt and a blank template you can fill in with your own activities.
After tests students use this template to correct their mistakes and earn back test points. The template has space for the problem number, work to be shown when correcting the mistake and write an explanation of the mistake made.
