ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I am a children’s author with over 125 articles in Highlights, Disney Adventures, Sports Illustrated for Kids, Boy’s Life and Sports Illustrated and the author of one book, Uncommon Champions: Fifteen Athletes Who Battled Back. In 2005 I founded and have directed a nonprofit tutoring organization, Golden Opportunity (GO). GO, matches retired teachers with struggling low-income students and provides free one-on- one tutoring and mentoring to them. The program serves students in grades 2-8 in all Ithaca City schools, currently offering to 75 students.
