Wow! I can't believe it. I am in my 19th year of teaching. The vast majority of those years have been spent in first and second grade. I taught in Oregon for the first 6 years of my career. I have been in Michigan for 13 years.
Mine is constantly evolving! Isn't yours?

I have a Bachelors degree in Psychology from Miami University in Ohio. I worked with students with behavioral challenges at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Part of that position involved working with teachers to help students be successful in the regular classroom. The moment I stepped into the classroom I knew that's where I wanted to be. I returned to school to get licensed as a regular classroom teacher. Later, I earned my Masters degree in reading from Eastern Michigan University.
I am married and I have one elementary-age child.
