I have over 20 years teaching elementary students, grades 2 through 4, in a rural Illinois community. I am also an Adjuct Faculty member for the Connecting Link and love teaching professionals in both rural and urban settings new information so that we can continue to serve our students and one another better.
I look forward to seeing my students each day! I believe that offering them a stable and loving environment aids in their learning. I strive to challenge them and encourage them on a daily basis. I love, especially, language arts and creative writing. My grown daughter is a writer and writes many of the nonfiction, fiction and poetry texts that you will see in my Common Core bundles. I understand the need for assessment and the Common Core requirements, and believe that we must be prepared in order to make it happen smoothly in our classrooms.
Yet to be added
I have my Masters degree in Educational Leadership and have taken many additional courses past that.
I love being a Yia Yia to my only (so far!) grandchild, Jackson. He is 3 and certainly keeps all of us on our toes. I live in a small town, and enjoy looking at the horses across our country street when I sip my coffee in the morning.
