I have several years of teaching experience, including 5 years as a Pre-K teacher. Visit my website: https://karenintheclassroom/.
I am dedicated to giving my students the foundational skills they need to succeed, with literacy as my devoted priority. While helping students to develop social skills, math skills, and a rich vocabulary, it is my mission to teach them how to read! All of my students learn to read on some level, depending on their developmental readiness, so differentiated instruction is key! I take them as far as they are capable while they’re with me……their capabilities surprise me over and over again! I love creating resources for my students, and I continually change out activities to ensure my classroom is fresh and engaging.
South Tarrant County Chamber of Commerce Teacher of the Year 2014

My twenty years of experience in the business world have proved an asset in the classroom, especially when it comes to organization!
