I have presented my various teaching strategies and projects at county-level in-service days on several occasions, and I presented at the AP National Conference in Washington, D.C. in 2010. Additionally, I earned National Board Certification in 2005.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in English language Arts Education and a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on integrating the arts.
I work at an "at-risk" high school in one of the Metro Atlanta counties. 77% of our students receive free or reduced lunch, and many of my classroom instruction methods and assessment ideas focus on finding a variety of mediums through which students can prove understanding.
