I have taught in both public and private school since 2004. My experience includes working with diverse students in a variety of settings. I have taught in a full inclusion setting, employed a co-teaching model, and flown solo as a regular education teacher. My license is in elementary education with endorsements in English language arts and Teacher of English Language Learners (TELL), and I am currently working to become dual certified in general and special education.
Differentiation is a top priority in designing and implementing curriculum and instruction. I consider myself a learning facilitator with a classroom balance of direct instruction, individual-driven research projects, and collaborative learning groups.
I graduated from the University of New Mexico with the distinction of magna cum laude.

As a mother of 4, I enjoy the spillover of my career into my home life and vice versa. Teaching has helped me become a better parent, and parenting has helped me become a better teacher. My current favorite educational blog is Cult of Pedagogy.
