Originally I started my experience student teaching in a 4th grade elementary classroom in Caro, Mi with an amazing mentor teacher who helped me to organize like crazy! I continued working with elementary students in afternoon specials and added middle schoolers in the bunch through a Spanish substitute teaching position with Lapeer Community Schools. When the year ended, I was looking for work to be a full time Spanish teacher and luckily found Canton Preparatory High School to be my new home!
¿Por qué no? (Why not?) I love to try and connect everything and I love using anything that I learn! Where some say, "You cannot do that, it's impossible!" I say, "Okay, let's try!" I am not a lecturer, I want my students to be hands on! Though I am a constant mover in my classroom, my students are really doing all the work!

Worked and lived on a rural farm in Kingston, Michigan but started to grow my roots after attending Spring Arbor University where I focused on Elementary Education and Spanish K-12. I traveled abroad to Guatemala for a semester and loved being a part of the language and culture so much that I have returned multiple times! Currently, I am a High School Spanish teacher at Canton Preparatory High School where I have become a Spanish Lead of five schools after my first year teaching! I am also working on expanding my Spanish knowledge through the Master's Program at Eastern Michigan University.
