Have have conducted international benchmark research in visual and media arts education at the secondary level. I have written curriculum policy documents for the Ontario Ministry of Education and have been writing curriculum at the School, Board, Ministry and Commercial textbook level for over 2 decades. I love to write curriculum almost as much as I love to teach!
I believe strongly in differentiated teacher and assessment strategies. My teaching style is process oriented and is guided by the creative or design process, and the critical analysis process. I teach integrated, progressive uniting that scaffold skills and knowledge acquisition and culminate, in open-ended, student driven creative solutions to academic and creative problems. I strongly believe in sustainable practices and equity, diversity and fun!
