My most recent teaching experience has been as a Program Specialist (Art Specialist) with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Oceanside, CA. for two years, from January, 2014 to December, 2015. My art programs (which are generally 30-40 minute sessions) always include links to literacy and social studies, and often touch on science and math. I was also Director of Education at the San Diego Museum of Man (a museum of anthropology) where I led a team that designed art and anthropology-based programs for visitors of all ages and abilities.
My teaching tends to be hands-on, interactive, informal education which always includes art in some form. I like to engage students in critical thinking, lively discussion, and creative writing as we explore an artist or a concept.

Kennedy University, Orinda/Berkeley, CA. (1994). I am a lifelong learner and am always searching for ways to include the arts in the lives of children.
