TEACHING EXPERIENCE

My experience is in teaching 16 to 18 year old higher level Leaving Certificate Mathematics students in Ireland. Our new syllabus puts a significant emphasis on problem solving in mathematics. I also have experience in writing articles for a national newspaper providing advice to students on preparing for their mathematics examinations. The mathematics syllabus we follow in Ireland, called Project Maths, consists of 5 strands; Probability and Statistics, Geometry and Trigonometry, Number, Algebra and Functions.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I aim to bring energy and enthusiasm to my classroom, to encourage my students to see maths everywhere and develop a positive attitude towards the process of problem solving.
