I am a first grade teacher living and working in the New York City area. I have been teaching for eight years and have had the pleasure of teaching Kindergarten and grades 1, 2 and 4. I am passionate about being a lifelong learner and I strive every year to instill that passion in my students. I consider myself a very social thinker and learner as well. Having taught integrated co-teaching classes for most of my career, I have had the opportunity to learn several strategies for meeting the needs (academic, social and behavioral) of my quite diverse bunch! I thrive on a challenge and love to share what I have learned with others! I love what I do and can't imagine being anywhere else in the world except in the classroom with my students!
I love teaching small groups. I find that is where I can be most effective and where most students learn best.

I am married to the most fantastic man and we are expecting our first child this summer! I am looking forward to being a mom to my own, considering each year I am lucky to have a whole new batch of "kids!" No matter how old or how far, I will always refer to my students as my kids. (As I'm sure many of us do!)
