TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am approaching my 5th year teaching general music. I have taught in a variety of students from many diverse backgrounds including suburban, rural, low income, and bilingual. I have taught Pre-K through 5th grades.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching style is Kodaly inspired, with my main objective being for my students to experience the joy of music.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Countless students have given me drawings and written letters expressing how much they love and enjoy music class.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I received my Bachelor's of Music Education from Illinois Wesleyan University. Upon graduating, I attended Capital University (Columbus, OH) and received my Kodaly Certification.
