TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have completed 14 years of teaching Elementary. I taught at a gifted magnet school for 9 years (mostly 5th grade and also 3rd through 5th gifted multiage) and for the last 5 years I have served as the gifted teacher where I serve students grades 2-5 in Literacy and Math. One of my passions is writing gifted curriculum. I have co-authored several units and look forward to sharing more of my work on TPT!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I support gifted and high ability learners in their learning through providing opportunities to deeper understanding, increase critical thinking skills, and develop 21st century skills. Research based practice and meaningful experiences for students guide my decisions in the classroom.
