I am an arts educator with a decade of experience in the classroom. I am passionate about visual design and love sharing that passion with my students. I believe all children can benefit from learning visual arts techniques and practicing creative thinking. Beyond the classroom I have a passion for graphic design. What you see on Teachers Pay Teachers is a tiny representation of the visual design work I do in my classroom and school community. 2008-present: Designed and created the Daily Noodle-Doodle; a technology driven classroom management system for art education that increases engagement, builds student autonomy, streamlines transitions, and supports daily reading and writing. The Daily Noodle-Doodle Program I created for school I teach at includes every anticipatory set, transition, resource image/video/text, and closure for every elementary art lesson that is taught kindergarten through fifth grade. check out my website to see more about my Daily Noodle-Doodle www.dailynoodle-doodle.com
In my classroom, I strive to make my routines and transitions as concise as possible to maximize student learning time. I believe that visual design of the classroom, meaning everything a student takes in through their eyes, should be purposeful and clearly communicated. It is my mission to share my visual design knowledge with others, and I often do so by creating posters for staff or individuals.
