TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught first grade for 2 years in Georgia. I am currently in Okinawa, Japan. I taught a 1st/2nd class for 1 year and now after taking a break to watch my 2 sons at home I'm back to work. My first year back I taught kindergarten. The next year I got to keep my students and added more as I became the 1st/2nd grade teacher. This year I have my kinder students again as I teach just 2nd grade!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I enjoy the workshop model as it gives me time to conference with my students. I love teaching through thematic units because it really gets the students excited about what they are learning. I am continuously trying to find new ways to add technology to my class.
