TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Middle and High School Math Title I schools

MY TEACHING STYLE

Humans are born with a love of learning. Your first job as a teacher is to do your best not to screw that up. The job of a teacher is to respect and nurture that love. Often that is incredibly hard to do with a mandated pace for learning (not to mention the 30 new kids in the classroom each hour bombarding you with all manner of unexpected distractions). <<**>><<**>><<**>> As much as you can, keep the majority engaged, Keep math explanations simple Play lots of math games devoted to basic concepts: negative numbers, fractions, decimals. Whiteboard competitions work the best. Make it a weekly routine. Don't bombard them with homework. Enjoy!
