TEACHING EXPERIENCE

English Language Arts PA Certified Teacher entering my 7th year teaching teens and tweens.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I provide my students with a rigorous range of ELA skills, but focus mostly on analysis, close reading, authentic writing, and project-based learning. My curriculum aligns with all state-mandated requirements without sacrificing a fearless mindset towards learning that matters now and later. Social justice, tolerance, entrepreneurship, digital media, and voice have been steadily interwoven in every project I take on, in and out of the classroom. My desire to instill resilience, creativity, and authenticity is innate. These themes shine bright in my Media Literacy classes. I welcome everything freeing, but hope most to model the respect, awareness, truth-telling and truth-seeking I seek to find in the world.
