My educational background includes a Bachelors, Masters, Specialist, and Doctorate in Elementary Educational from a local university. I received my National Board Certification in Early Childhood and have had the opportunity to work with students in Kindergarten through twelfth grade. For the past 14 years, I work for a local school district where I have taught kindergarten through twelfth grade students. I received my Career Level Administrator’s License from a local Community College Foundation. I believe that reality is wrong, and dreams are for real. My greatest passion is to create a collaborative school culture among teachers and stakeholders using themes infused in the curriculum that addresses skills and concepts students need to learn in order to successfully meet grade level benchmarks and expectations as measured by assessments given. Analyzing data, creating a positive climate, changing the culture of the building, and implementing effective assessments will ensure success across all grade levels.
I use a variety of teaching strategies that compliments every student's individual learning style. I have presented and attended numerous conferences where I continue to learn best practices that will ensure student's success.By achieving several degrees and earning National Board Certification, I have solid in-depth knowledge regarding effective teaching methods that help me provide differentiated instruction to meet students’ and adults’ unique needs. I encourage student learning by making sure that learning experiences are authentic and student-centered. I also incorporate a variety of learning centers, various forms of technology, and multiple ways to ensure that all students are successful on various levels. In order to continue learning and growing in my career, I look for ways to enhance my abilities within the educational profession.
