My teaching career began in as a supervising teacher at the Weber State University Melba Lehner Children's school for four years. I was not only responsible for teaching the children in my class but also, helping to build the skills of students going through the Education and Child and Family programs. While there I learned a great amount of life experience in the classroom. The lessons were developmentally appropriate and all five developmental domains were looked at daily to ensure the overall development of our students. After learning a great amount at the Children's school, I ventured out into the public school field as a full time Kindergarten teacher at Freedom Elementary and have been there for the past five years. I currently teacher two half day sessions and have loved every minute of it.
