I have this poster hanging all around my classroom. In the resource room, we are constantly working on fluency and comprehension. This helps remind the kids what they need to work on, and what I will be looking for as they are reading.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

After graduating from MSU, I started working as a Resource Room teacher for students K-6. Currently, I work at an intermediate school where I get to work with some awesome 5th and 6th graders!

MY TEACHING STYLE

If you were to walk into my classroom, you would see a group of people who truly care about one another. In my classroom, I spend lots of time creating a safe environment at the beginning of the year. I want my students to know that it isn't the test scores that are my top priority. For me, I want my students to be respectful, kind, compassionate people who will make a difference in the world. Because of the trust we build in my classroom, we are able to work hard and get a lot accomplished! My teaching style is always- students first.
