I have always had a desire to teach. Even now while I am home with a baby, I still enjoy making worksheets and educational materials while he is napping. I am currently working on early learning tools for my son that I plan on sharing here as he grows. I student taught 1st grade, worked as an RTI Instructional Assistant the following year, and taught 2nd grade the year after that. I have taught Kindergarten for 2 years since.
I believe hands-on activities leave a lasting impression on most students, but my experience suggests that rhymes, songs, and games can really help hard-to-reach children also. I always make sure everything I create is relevant and meaningful; I strive to make my materials fun and interactive as well.
