TEACHING EXPERIENCE

This is my 16th year teaching. I am an 8th grade US History teacher in San Antonio Texas. I have also taught 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th grades. I love teaching 8th graders and I love working with the US History curriculum!

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching style is structured but I enjoy open ended questions, discussions and projects that highlight the creativity of my students.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I grew up moving around in an Air Force family. I attended public schools around the country as well as an overseas DOD school. I have a Journalism/Telecommunications BA and an Elementary Education degree from the University of Wyoming. I also earned an MS in Integrating Technology in the Classroom from Walden University.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I love to play the guitar and often play in the classroom. I rap the Gettysburg Address among other things. My wife is a teacher and my three kids at home are all school aged.
