This will be my 21st year teaching. Taught First Grade for 3 years, K for 15 years, and now am teaching Special Needs Pre-K with 3 & 4 year olds. I have 2 childern. A 13 year old girl and a 17 year old boy. My son is on the Autism Spectrum, so I have a lot of experience with special needs kids both in and out of the classroom.
I believe in a more "hands on" learning style with centers. However, my teaching style adapts to the students in my classroom, and changes with each new thing I learn. I never teach exactly the same way each year.
Lots of LOVE from my parents and students! :-) I was nominated for teacher of the year at my school numerous times, but never won...just being nominated is always an honor!

I have 2 children. A boy and a girl. My son is 17 and is on the spectrum. My daughter is 13...which in girl years is 16/17 also! LOL I have learned so much about teaching through them. I honestly believe you can be a good teacher when you do not have children of your own...but being a parent gives you such a unique perspective. I have totally changed my teaching style as my children have grown.
