I just finished up my fourth year of teaching, in my third placement. There has been a lot of moving and changing of grade levels at my school since I was hired. Due to this, I am constantly busy recreating and editing the curriculum for each grade level. I am very passionate about my job and the lesson plans that I create.
I am a very laid back teacher, but my students know what I expect of them. I like to try and make each lesson memorable so that the students will retain the information given. I create a lot of hands-on lessons and projects for the students to perform. I strive to reach all of my students, giving extra help to my tier three students as well as giving enrichment to my tier one students.
I attended a local community college and then earned my teaching certificate from Southern Illinois University - Carbondale.
I am a happily married mother of two boys. I pour my heart and soul into my family and my career. We are teaching the future and I believe that if we do just what we have to and do not put in that extra effort, then that is what our students will do. I was raised to be proud of everything I did, and I am striving to teach my children and students to show pride in their work.
