I have been teaching Middle School on the South Side of Chicago since 2010.

MY TEACHING STYLE

In my seventh and eighth grade classrooms my students learn Pre-Algebra and Algebra I in guided math groups. To ensure I meet the needs of all students, I see groups in half-hour intervals, three times a week. In these groups, I provide differentiated instruction, using complex tasks or more remedial content based on student needs. I also engage students with challenging problem-solving activities to stretch their understanding while still feeling confident in their learning
