TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I currently am a highly qualified K-2 teacher with my certifications in K-5 General Education and K-12 Special Education with endorsements in Emotional and Cognitive Impairments in the State of Michigan. I am also certified to teach Elementary Education K-5 and Exceptional Student Education K-12 in the state of Florida.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I don't necessarily have a particular teaching style, but would like to think I have a large focus on building a strong classroom community and have a very nurturing demeanor.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I studied special education at GVSU where I earned my BS in Psychology with Emphasis on Special Education with endorsements to teach K-12 students with emotion and cognitive impairments. I also have my minor in elementary education K-6 (6 self-contained). I have had 5 student teaching experiences (K, 1st, K-5 resource room, 5/6 EI self-contained, and 6-8 CI self contained). I spent 3 months teaching 1st in South Africa. I recently completed my first full year of teaching in a wonderful school district on the east side of Michigan. Here I taught second grade, met amazing teachers and grew immensely. I am now in my hometown teaching K-2 Special Education in an elementary.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Please note, I just would like to share some simple resources that I hope save some teachers some time. Please take what you can and share what I may not. I do not make custom orders because all of my items are FREE. I do not offer non PDF forms either due to the fact that some of my items I have purchased or personally created. All my items are and will always be free of charge. Dishing out a few bucks happens quite often as an educator and if I can save a little of your time and money while helping a student make gains in their education, I'm happy :)
