ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Hello! My name is Kelly (with a Y). My very first job came when I was 11 years old. I drew ten posters for my cousin, Reba, who needed to decorate her first classroom. This was back in 1991, so it was all hand-drawn cartoon characters (IE: Disney, Warner Brothers, etc). I don't remember how much I got paid, but I do remember thinking that I wanted to draw and create for the rest of my life. Throughout elementary, middle and junior high, I helped with bulletin boards, displays and other decorations. I entered poster contests to pay for prom (again, all hand-drawn. Life was tough in 1998). I briefly toyed with the idea of becoming a teacher just so I could do bulletin boards. Then I remembered kids weren't really my "thing." I decided to go into graphic design where I have worked professionally for 7+ years. Eventually I would like to teach at a community college. I got my start at a community college and want to pay it forward. If you are still reading this, you deserve a gold star!
