TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have over 10 years of teaching experience. I currently teach 3rd grade. I have also taught 1st and 2nd grade and worked closely with Kindergarten students. I have also worked as a Reading Specialist and a Math Intervention Support teacher. I love being a classroom teacher and look forward to many more years in third grade :)

MY TEACHING STYLE

I would explain my teaching style as an interactive approach. I am a strong believer in molding my curriculum around my students need each year. I use a variety of grouping strategies daily and differentiate my instruction based on each child's needs. However, I know the importance of explicit and structured mini lessons, especially for young learners. I love sharing and collaborating with others. I feel very blessed to be apart of the Teachers Pay Teachers community.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

The awards that I currently have are mostly from my experience with high school and college sports. I hope to add to this list throughout my career as an educator.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I attained my undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education PreK-3rd grade from Ashland University. I attained my masters degree in Literacy from Baldwin Wallace University. Both colleges are located in my home state, Ohio. O-H-I-O :)

I love being able to use my creativity to enhance classroom instruction for my students. I love teaching and learning. I am constantly looking for ways to improve my instruction and reach all learners. I am very blessed to be an educator and I love my job!
