TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I've taught 8th grade Language Arts for 13 years now. Within the subject, I've specialized in support classes, intensive classes, core classes and advanced classes. I've also taught the student newspaper elective and a public speaking elective.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I like to introduce a topic through direct instruction. I believe that students should talk to one another about their learning and work together. Group work and partner work also show up in my classroom, as well as lots of writing.
